ETA claims responsibility for five attacks

The armed Basque separatist group ETA claimed responsibility for five attacks committed since the start of the year, including one aimed at killing police officers.

In a statement published in the Basque daily Gara, ETA claimed responsibility for two booby-trapped bombs placed near a television tower which the group damaged in the Basque country on January 16. (AFP)
